• working my way through chapter two of genki! Still pretty easy. I’m comfortable up to about chapter six so I know I’ll have to slow down when I get there.

•I have an appointment to get tested for adhd soon, hoping I can figure out some ways to help me procrastinate less

Update!!

I have a 17 day streak on anki!! I love it :)

Also got to see the love of my life yesterday (stray kids) and I’m still riding that high. Solid high five if you can guess whomst my bias is….

Not being horribly productive, but it is summer, and I’m doing my best to sleep and take care of myself :)

Took today on the easier side.

Did my flash cards as usual. Went on a run today which was nice! It was nice to be outside.

Read a whole lot.

yesterdays update!!

Been super tired recently, it’s been hard to focus at all.

• finished all my anki cards for the day!

• did some yoga in the morning, and went on a self care walk in the evening :)

Still really struggling with regulating my sleep schedule. Ive got pretty terrible insomnia and it takes me a good two hours to fall asleep if I try to go to bed early. which makes waking up early not the easiest.

Took two days off for mental health but I’m back!!

Self care:

• I went shopping for shoes for my outfit for the skz concert!! (See above) I’m so excited.

• washed my sheets and did a load of laundry

Productive:

• back on my anki grind!! Slowly working up my confidence in the program.

• did a whole bunch of cleaning today :))

Productive:

• I spent two hours building a planter for my mother! It was exhausting but I’m glad I did it.

• more anki today! Still writing down kanji, and it feels like I’ve got so many to go (well I do) but it’s nice actually seeing progress :) took it easy on the studying otherwise.

Self Care:

• read a little bit for fun today!

• watched two more episodes of bungo stray dogs. It’s keeping me interested with the plot so far, and I’m also trying to pay attention to the Japanese while I watch :)

For tomorrow:

• gonna get up early (someone’s visiting and I need to be up unfortunately) and I’ll try to go on a morning walk.

• get some more studying in of Japanese and for the green building test.

• I’m supposed to call a friend and talk about the third Percy Jackson book! We are doing a summer book club, and it’s been a blast reading so far!

Productive:

• second day with anki. Getting the hang of it, trying to grind out as much kanji as I can this summer while I have the time. I’ve never used the create a sentence recall method, like ever? And it’s almost terrifying to me how much it’s working.

• I’m writing out a bunch of the anki cards, it’s helping with the process and I like having physical notes. Something about being able to hold em.

Self care:

• slept in this morning. Deserved it after finishing my class yesterday.

• Started Bungo Stray Dogs today, I’m enjoying it so far! I’m trying to keep in mind the 50/50 method, and making sure that while I’m studying so much I’m also just enjoying the language at my own pace :) plus watching anime again after so many years is fun!

For tomorrow:

• I already wrote out a to do list that’ll be working through. I included studying, basic self care (😅), and some fun things. I do best with lists that I can check off, and I’m trying to take advantage of it.

• going to get more anki in, and I’ve got to work on my green building certification. At least it’s studying I’m looking forward to ☺️
